Breaking rules result in punishments. There are several types of punishments

This is where a personal message may be made that mentions that you have broken a rule. I will determine whether you knew what you were doing was wrong or whether a warning is necessary to explain it to you. If I do not give a warning, I will skip ahead to the next step in the penalty list.

This is where you are not able to post on the forums and/or talk in chat. You may still view the forums, chat, and play poker.

Temporary Ban

This is where you are not able to play poker, chat, and/or post for a certain period of time.

Permanent Ban

You lose your account on Team FatCat.

Forum & Site Rules

One Account

You must be 18 years or older to join. Each FatCat member may have only one account. Sharing accounts are prohibited.

No Hacking/Cheating

This should go without saying, but you are not permitted to hack the forums or cheat the poker system. Guessing someone else password and succeeding counts as hacking.

No Discrimination

You may not insult members based on their religion, race, sex, political beliefs, or sexuality. This is worse than flaming, because it also hurts other members of the board who fall into the category you insult.

No Bullying/Trolling/Provoking

Do not pick on other members. The worst kind of bullying is where new members are picked on. This hurts the member as well as the site.
Don't make comments that are inflammatory just to get people riled up.

No Flaming

It causes thread's to go off topic, and most importantly, it hurts the person being flamed.

No Targeted Posts

Posting complaints about others wrong doing on the forums is prohibited.

No Profanity or Obscene Content

Such content does not belong on FatCat. A basic censor system is in place as a basic backup. Cheating the censor system is against the rules.

No Illegal Activity

You are not allowed to break the law using this site.

If you break one of these rules, the following penalties will apply.

Loss of chatting and/or posting for up to 7 days.

Temporary ban

People who cause more problems after being muted will lose chatting, posting and/or will not be able to play poker for up to 7 days.

Permanent ban

At this point, it is obvious that will never learn your lesson, thus, a permanent ban is necessary to be rid of the problems. You will lose your account at FatCat.

The following rules are also important:

No Advertising

You are not allowed to use the member list to harass people or post in the forums to purchase/join products and/or services.

No Double Posting or Spamming

Double posts will be merged into regular posts. The only exception to this rule is if your edit timer for the post has run out, in which case you may double post if you have something important to add. Spamming is also not allowed, and is defined as a post that has no meaning.

Post in relevant sub-forums

Messages posted in the wrong topic area will be removed and placed in the correct sub-forum by moderators.

Spare the CAPS

Using all cap is the text equivalent of yelling. Your post may be edited.

Depending on how serious a violation is, you may be issued a warning first.

Muting for up to 7 days.

Temporary ban

People who cause more problems after being muted will lose chatting and/or posting and will not be able to play poker for up to 7 days.
